A detailed code of conduct sets out the standards of conduct expected of panel members in carrying out their role.
The regional panel members must:
- act honestly, ethically and responsibly
- exercise a reasonable degree of care and diligence
- act in a way that enhances public confidence in the integrity of the role of the regional panels.
The regional panel members must avoid, manage and disclose conflicts of interest, which include pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests, political donations and other business and personal dealings.
The code of conduct also outlines complaint and disciplinary procedures.
